Private tuition / advanced / improve
2 hour private session £75 per person
For people with some experience of throwing who would like to improve their skills, or those who would prefer a more intensive and private tuition session. The session will very much be led by your requirements - maybe you would like to learn how to throw larger pieces of clay; taller vessels; or how to be more economic with your practice.
We will start by going back to the very basics of preparing the clay properly, pulling a cylinder, reviewing posture and correct hand positioning. We will hopefully bust a few myths and perhaps get out of some bad habits!
Pieces may be bisque fired for you on arrangement - but the idea of this session is not to make pieces for keeping, rather, to 'level up' and improve your throwing. This means that you will be encouraged to cut the pieces in order to appraise them for wall thickness / distribution of the clay.
